Stop reinventing the schedule for every project. Building Swell Routes and Process Snippets let you map your shop's playbook — design, detailing, fabrication — and reuse it across every job.

Add levels, build out the work breakdown structure, drag and drop to resequence, edit durations on the fly. The system already knows how your team operates.

Today I want to walk you through Building Swell. Starting with some of the routes, you'll notice that not only do we have the routes that you're already familiar with around different process steps for your shop, or even different process steps for BIM or VDC teams, like detailing or design.

These are completely configurable and very easy to edit. Let's say that we want to change this to one week. We can make some quick changes here, along with adding offsets. We also make it pretty easy to update departments.

Maybe you have typical flows that you want to capture for the whole process — from design through detailing through the prefabrication process. You can also use snippets that are just for the front part of the process. For example, some pre-con coordination. Maybe you know that you need to go through the design steps and detailing steps, but you don't really know all the systems that you're building until you get to a later phase, and this is all that you want to capture.

Think of these as quick snippets that you can use over and over to make it easier to schedule, to coordinate amongst your teams, and to set up some of your targets for the shop team or VDC team.

Scheduling in Building Swell is even easier. Not only can you quickly add new levels and add your breakdown structure directly in Building Swell, you can update scheduling directly with drag and drop — resequence or resize work that has to happen based on things you already know. Maybe you want to quickly change this from a five-day duration to a four-day duration. Quick edits here, and we'll show you exactly how long this is set to take.

In addition, we make it easy to split out some of the systems that you're working on as you continue your work breakdown structure. Heading to manage components, we can add some new systems directly here to the work breakdown structure — maybe a branch system that we want to apply here. You can also take whole levels that maybe you've already done some planning for and copy these. Hit duplicate, and we'll add this for level three. Change the duration because we know this is going to be two weeks, and hit save.

It's an easy way to map out your projects as you continue to define what you're building, what's going to fab, and how you can move a little bit faster. Looking forward to getting your shop up to speed.
